Toni Storm has revealed she is now engaged to Juice Robinson, posting photos of the New Japan star popping the question on social media.
Being a pro wrestler is such a time-consuming profession that seeing wrestlers pair up and marry their co-workers is common and fairly unsurprising. The latest pro wrestlers to reveal they will be tying the knot are WWE's Toni Storm and New Japan's Juice Robinson. Storm revealed the news when she posted photos of the moment Robinson popped the question on Instagram.
Toni Storm And Juice Robinson Are Engaged
“Pop the champagne I'm changing my last name,” Storm wrote in the caption accompanying the photos. The first shows Robinson getting down on one knee, followed by the two hugging after Storm said yes, and then a final photo giving fans a better look at the ring. No fear of Storm's ring name changing though. Storm isn't her real last name and Toni Robinson doesn't sound nearly as cool.
Robinson and Storm have been dating for a few years. However, their relationship status wasn't confirmed until the summer of 2020. The Mae Young Classic winner revealed that the two of them had been seeing each other for a while after Bea Priestley, who is now NXT UK's Blair Davenport, posted photos of the two of them together on social media. Storm and Davenport are close friends.
Storm's On-Screen Romance
It actually appeared as if WWE was toying with the idea of placing Storm in a romantic angle on SmackDown. Not with Robinson, since he is currently under contract with New Japan, but with Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler asked Storm to accompany him to the ring while flirting with her backstage. The former NXT UK Women's Champion shot him down, revealing that she would be rooting for Rick Boogs.
Storm was called up to SmackDown over the summer but is yet to have been used in a meaningful way. Storm has only wrestled two matches since being called up, winning both. Hopefully, the draft, which begins tonight, will inject new life into her career. Whether that be on SmackDown where she is now or via a move to Raw either tonight or on Monday when the draft concludes.
